The IM ZIP (Install Manager ZIP) installers have been re-uploaded as simple ZIP files. You may have downloaded them before the change was made, beginning late May of 2012. Please clear your browser's cookies and cache. Delete the corrupted installer files.
These older installers are now provided as simple ZIP files. You can unzip them into your content library on your hard drive.
You can find them in your "Product Library" in your account on our website.
Please follow the below steps to locate your products.
1. Log in to your account at http://www.daz3d.com/.
2. Click "My Account" in the upper right hand corner.
3. Click "Product Library", located top center just under the banners. You should see a list of products along the left side.
4. Click on the product name and a list of downloadable products will show up in the center window.
5. Locate the installer and click the blue "Download" button for manual installation or the green "Download & Install" button for the Install Manager.
Installing Simple ZIP FILES (WINDOWS)
A simple ZIP file is a file that is compressed but does not have any installer. These files are platform-neutral and can be installed on both the Mac and the PC. Essentially, you are merging the files of the content product with your existing content folder.
First, make a working folder for the product on your desktop. It should be a new, empty folder. Unzip (extract) the file to that folder. Now it will be all by itself. You can browse through the folders for it to see how it is set up. You will find that it has folders that are similar to the folders in the content folder for Poser or DAZ Studio.
Once you extract the zip file, you will see that there is a 'content' folder and possibly a manifest.dsx file. You don't need the manifest file at all, so just ignore it. The content folder corresponds to the 'My Library' Folder in DAZ Studio and the folder that is holding the runtime folder in Poser. Open the 'content' folder. Inside, you will see folders like 'runtime,' 'readme's, and possibly other folders like 'data.' Highlight these folders and press CTRL + C (copy) on the keyboard. This is the first part.
Now, using the Windows Explorer; you need to browse to the correct place in your existing content and paste the folders. You will have the chance to let them merge with the content path. You should browse to your content folder. For most DAZ Studio users this will be 'My Library.' Open the folder and you should see many folders inside of it, including the 'runtime' folder. Do not open any of these folders. Press CTRL + V on the keyboard. You should get a message from Windows about how there is already a folder here with the same name. If you do not get this message, then you are not pasting to the correct place. When you get this message, tell Windows to merge. In Windows 7, you can click the first option. You do not want to create a new folder, but you want to merge with the existing folder.
After the folders and files have merged, you should use the readme file (you can find it in your first folder where you first unzipped the product). The readme will tell you where to find the product in the Poser Formats file structure (DAZ Studio) or in the Poser Content Panel.
Installing Simple ZIP FILES (Mac)
A simple ZIP file is a file that is compressed but does not have any installer. These files are platform-neutral and can be installed on both the Mac and the PC. Essentially, you are merging the files of the content product with your existing content folder.

Inside, you will see folders like 'runtime,' 'readme's, and possibly other folders like 'data.'
Unfortunately, the Native Mac Os does not support merging files. The procedure begins like the process in Windows above by unzipping the product to its own folder for ease of use. You will need to take each folder or file and place it into the corresponding location in your content directory. So, if you have a file like this:
...content\runtime\libraries\character\DAZ People\She-Freak 3, then you need to browse to the 'DAZ People' folder in your content directory and place the 'She-Freak 3' file in there. You'll need to do this painstakingly for all the files.
